Africell Uganda in the #NewChapter
After 5 years of operation in Uganda, the New Chapter campaign looks to give the telecom a more youthful appeal in the second part of a decade. More focus will be on bringing more convenience to customers with increased product-value and market-presence.
New Africell SIM card offers- But no more free Africell SIM cards
Africell has been the only operator in Uganda to offer its SIM cards at no cost. However, that has come to an end as the telecom will no longer offer their SIM cards freely anymore. Africell SIM cards are now priced at UGX 2,000/=. While this may look like the telecom is shooting themselves in the foot, it is common practice for people to take free things for granted. Africell wants to add value to their SIM card and attaching a price to it has been one of the many steps. The SIM cards are preloaded with UGX 1000/= of airtime which is valid for 7 days from the time of activating the SIM card. Africell promises free 200 MB of data, 200 on-net messages and 200 Africell voice minutes upon the first recharge of an activated SIM card.
